TeamWork presents an ambitious sailing and mountaineering program for 2012

The Geneva based company will support a new talent in yacht racing: Justine Mettraux. TeamWork maintains its involvement in the high tech M2 catamarans class, and pursues its project to climb the Alp’s 82 summits above 4000 meters.

Geneva, March 20, 2012 — Remember this name: Justine Mettraux. Aged 27, Justine is one of Switzerland’s up and coming talents. A multiple winner of local and national events, including the famous Bol d’Or Mirabaud, she will now move one step up and compete in the Mini 6,50 circuit, aiming for the Transat 6,50 2013.

In 2011, two yachts supported by TeamWork competed in the Transat 6,50. David Raison won the race with his futuristic design “TeamWork Evolution” whilst Etienne David finished 7th. Justine Mettraux now takes over; she will train hard and compete in this year’s principal Mini 6,50 regattas, before crossing the Atlantic in 2013.

“The first training sessions went very well”, she said. “And I can’t wait to race against some other boats as of next month. I will take it step by step, but my goal is definitely to improve my results steadily.”

Philippe Rey-Gorrez, TeamWork’s President, has been supporting Swiss sailors involved in the Mini Class since 2005. “It’s a continuity for us, and we really love this Class”, he says. “Now we hope that Justine will achieve the results she expects to obtain. She is certainly working very hard towards it.”

TeamWork also supports a high tech M2 catamaran skippered by Antoine Thorens, and is one of the M2 Speed Tour’s two main partners.

Last but not least, the company has developed an ambitious mountaineering project aimed at its employees that consists in climbing all of the Alps’ summits above 4000 meters. 55 summits have already been climbed successfully thanks to the support of professional guides.

20 July – 26 August : Les Sables – Les Açores – Les Sables
